YC114.01.03 // The New Year

[date/YC114/01/03.return_log]

All work on Project Blueprint was under temporary suspension due to the increase in war declarations by hostile parties for the greater part of the past few months. As such, I have made absolutely no headway in discerning whether or not there is any relationship between modern day constructs and Sleeper architecture. I’ve had very little time to dedicate to studying the efforts of other projects, and have only noted those events which have highlighted the greater achievements of the Arek’Jaalan initiative in recent times – namely, the completion of Site One and the ensuing Sansha sympathizer attacks that followed. It seems for the time being, however, those parties have grown silent.

Fortunately, my corporation now finds itself without an enemy, and as such, I will be making a trip into Anoikis at the next available opportunity. Having purchased a group of Helioses (Heli-i?) and having them shipped off to my home system, it seems as if roughly 24 hours from now will be my first (and hopefully last) attempt at entering Anoikis. I plan on staying for an undetermined amount of time, studying the Sleepers and their architecture for as long as possible.

Until then, I will be keeping track of some interesting theories that have cropped up from discussion between the Arek’Jaalan members. Given my affinity toward myth and legend, there are some intriguing stories I’d like to investigate.

As a side note, my continuing work on a completed map of ancient era Luminaire is still in the works – it is an extensive project, and I don’t expect it to be done in the near future – along with some of its mythology.

I have no idea what any of this is about; I sent a message to Mark726 containing the logs and am waiting to hear back from him with his opinion. It may all just be gibberish, but you can never be sure, especially when Kanza Mikakka is involved. We’ll see what happens.

The Arek’Jaalan community still hasn’t heard back from Dr. Tukoss, but this is to be expected with his busy schedule. With our department heads firmly taking control of the situation, I feel comfortable saying that Arek’Jaalan and Site One are currently in good hands. The threat from Nation is still under investigation, however, and we may yet see how deeply its corrupted veins delve.

YC113.12.02 // Kanza Mikakka Suicide Attack and CONCORD Presence in Monalaz

[date/YC113/12/02.return_log]

Earlier today, a final attack was made by Kanza Mikakka against Site One, detailed by Gejaheline in this internal message sent to all Arek’Jaalan members:

At 03:33, Kanza Mikakka attempted to attack Site One, deploying a Condor frigate loaded with smartbombs near the main hangar bay of Site One’s admin structure. Fortunately, security units on-site were already present with logistics and warships and only minor damage was sustained by nearby vessels before his ship was eliminated. He then proceeded to fly to the local star in his pod and self-destruct. His body is in the capable hands of Aquila Shadow pending a forensic examination.

Several hours prior to this, Mikakka was spotted deploying suspicious packages at various sites in the system, marked “node 1”, “node 2” and so forth. These appeared to be remotely-detonated bombs, containing a transmitter, a quantity of explosives, and some Noxicum. The components of one of these units has been retained and stored prior to examination.

Subsequently, containers containing transmitters were also found deployed, and a “System scanner relay” was located outside one of the stations, containing several high-tech communications devices along with computers and a Sleeper Central System Controller. This device was also disassembled and awaits examination in my hangar under secure guard.

Apparently the disassembly of this device was “too late”, though for what is uncertain. Mikakka then proceeded with their suicide attack, having swapped their Succubus for a more conventional Condor.

I would like to commend the Arek’jaalan staff who took part in the operations to disrupt and pursue Mikakka’s operations, tenaciously pursuing and removing many of his devices and ultimately eliminating him when he assaulted Site One. Their zeal and motivation in the face of restrictive rules of engagement and an elusive foe were most impressive. Thank you all.

With the attacks against Site One becoming more concerted and meditated, it may only be a matter of time before devastating damage is done to the complex and its residents. If Sansha Kuvakei is truly behind the attacks, it would be wise to take as much cautionary action as possible; underestimating Sansha Kuvakei and his capability would prove to be a fatal blow to Site One.

To only muddy the waters of conspiracy even more, the well renowned astrocartographer Mark726 reported today of suspicious activity by CONCORD in the Monalaz constellation. He states:

Greetings, fellow pilots,

For those of you who may not recall, near the beginning of Arek’Jaalan’s existence, we were warned by CONCORD to stay away from Monalaz (the Constellation you must enter in order to access the EVE Gate and surrounding systems). We were not told of any specific information, but rather warned generally to stay away from CONCORD affairs in that Constellation. After vigorous debate, the Project decided to ignore CONCORD’s warning to stay out of Monalaz, while still attempting to stay out of CONCORD’s way should any activity present itself. This was perhaps 6 months ago. We have heard nothing from CONCORD about activity since that time.

Just now, as I was moving through Monalaz for Project Compass, Aura presented me with the following information:

“In this dark new era of Sansha’s Nation incursions, the Monalaz constellation has become home to the most well-funded and notable anti-Sansha taskforce, Operation ISHAEKA (Intaki for “Leader Two”).

“ISHAEKA represents a multinational effort to coordinate forces against Sansha Kuvakei and oppose his twisted, dystopian visions of conformity and slavish obedience. The tactical response unit is comprised primarily of DED captains, but it is also supplemented by a contingent of elite combat veterans from the Tash-Murkon region. These soldiers are known only as the Justiciars.

“The ISHAEKA taskforce is believed to have relocated to the Monalaz constellation shortly after the conclusion of the first phase of their operation. During Phase One, the taskforce was deployed to the Stain region. Rumors persist that the Justiciars learned something of Nation’s plans while on deployment, and that their choice to relocate to Monalaz, of all places, speaks volumes about what they may have discovered.”

It appears to be clear to me that this is what CONCORD wanted us to stay away from. I have not yet had the chance to thoroughly investigate Monalaz for any CONCORD allied structures, but I shall be doing so on my first opportunity.

Warm Regards,
Mark726

Whether or not these occurrences pertain to the recent Sansha sympathizer attacks at Site One are unknown; however, such a prolific and powerful resistance seems to point toward a large conflict looming on the horizon; we can only hope that we are better prepared than beore for whatever may come, and that these forces are enough to safeguard and protect our people from the long arm of Sansha Kuvakei and his Nation.

YC113.12.01 // Sansha Sympathizers in Arek’Jaalan May Come Under Closer Scrutiny

[date/YC113/12/01.return_log]

Following the attack on Site One by Sansha sympathizer Kanza Mikakka, some within the ranks of Arek’Jaalan are calling for tighter security within internal communications, specifically calling out Sansha sympathizers who may be assisting Sansha Kuvakei.

One member stated,

It is important to note that several Sansha sympathizers still actively participate in the Arek’Jaalan project. Now that these security breaches appear to be associated with Kuvakei’s war efforts, I move for the reconsideration of the cases of these Sympathizers, specifically within the scope of the SEC division.

Following this statement, a message was sent within Arek’Jaalan internal communications by Kanza Mikakka,

The Master calls; Your fleets will burn You will not see the Promised Land.

We will vanquish your fear and commute your flesh to dust.

It is important to note, however, that there has been no occurence of a Sansha incursion in Eram. It therefore remains to be seen whether these sympathizers are merely attempting to gain the attention of Sansha Kuvakei or if their efforts are being directed by the man himself.

In related news, there were no injuries or deaths following the attack by Kanza Mikakka, which was focused near the residential shuttle port and landing pad of the Federation Administrative Outpost, and Kanza Mikakka’s Bantam was successfully bumped out of the danger zone before detonation. However, bureaucratic red tape is preventing anyone from taking direct action when attacks by other capsuleers (forged certificates or not) are made, as doing so would bring a swift response from CONCORD. Such barriers resulted in the destruction of a civilian Orca yesterday that was assaulted by multiple capsuleers. Following are the logs, provided by Arek’Jaalan member Aethlyn:

In regards to the Sansha sympathizers, Aethlyn also suggested that there is the possibility the references to Sansha Kuvakei may be forged as well – though the harrowing reference to Kuvakei’s iconic statement. “I will vanquish your fear and commute your flesh to dust,” is a reminder that there is no amount of caution that is too much.

It has yet to be heard what Dr. Tukoss has to say on the matter, and Arek’Jaalan members are eagerly awaiting his response.

At 6:41:27 on YC113.12.01, a Sansha sympathizer by the name of Kanza Mikakka detonated a Caldari Bantam near the Federation Administrative Outpost. The Bantam was loaded with nuclear payload and triggers, and upon detonation the pilot broadcast in local, ‘For the Master,’ referring to none other than Sansha Kuvakei.

It remains unclear if the earlier attackers were Sansha sympathizers as well, though given the similarities between the incidents it would not be a far stretch of the imagination.

Kanza Mikakka was registered as a day old pilot with the Science and Trade Institute and was not flagged as a criminal. It is believed the pilot’s certifications were forged, like the others.

Kanza Mikakka survived the explosion, and his current whereabouts are unknown.

YC113.11.30 // The Completion of Site One

[date/YC113/11/30.return_log]

As many of you know, Site One, a nexus of data for all things Arek’Jaalan, was recently completed. Sporting a total of 18 data centers for each Project under the Arek’Jaalan initiative, two data transfer arrays, the Arek’Jaalan Research Offices complex, three construction material storage and research storage facilities, a living hub for visitors, researchers, and capsuleers each set near a residential shuttle port, a Visitor’s Center and an acceleration gate still currently under construction, all of which is settled under the mighty shadow of the Federation Administrative Outpost, the Site One complex heralds in a new age of discovery, learning, and progressive thinking.

Following are photos of Site One:

By approaching Site One, you are transferred an information packet about Site One and those who contributed to its building. Incidentally, I am listed first on the list; I would like to point out I contributed far less than the vast majority of capsuleers who made Site One a reality – contributors are only ordered alphabetically, not by the amount or importance of their contribution.

If you approach a Project data center, you will be transferred an information packet that contains the abstract for that Project. All information packets are stored in your cargo hold.

To all the capsuleers and people who made Site One a reality; In these tumultuous times, it is great people such as Hilen Tukoss, the Antiquarian, and all those who contributed to such a  grand project that will further our efforts to create a world where discovery and education are the desired end of a more enlightened people. Let us always push forward, unending, unyielding, until we are no more.

YC113.10.21 // Photographic Requirements for Project Blueprint

[date/YC113/10/21.return_log]

The instructions for collecting photographic samples of architect are as follows:

1. Collect the classic 6-side views of the structure from Aura’s visual information pane (after selecting the structure on your overview or in space, select the ‘Info’ option from your overview):

  • One from the front
  • One from the back
  • One from the left
  • One from the right
  • One from above
  • One from below.

2. Collect four photographs of the structure with your camera drones. Some preferences should be taken into consideration:

  • Your overview should be disabled for the clearest possible photo.
  • Try to vary the style of photograph (e.g. Do not take four photographs from the same position)
  • If at all possible, try to capture at least one photograph with Sleeper activity as well (though it should be noted this is of low priority at the moment).

3. The last piece of information needed is that found in the System Info panel available in the top left of your overview. Include every piece of information it captures – these statistics are just as vital as that that can be gleaned from the photographs.

These instructions are what should be followed for both phases of the operation; meaning collection of samples from New Eden are to adhere to this as well. All submissions should be sent to me at my private address, adainy.gwanwyn@gmail.com.

For payments and benefits, see my last entry.

YC113.10.14 // Project Blueprint

[date/YC113/10/14.return_log]

Within the past few weeks, I have joined with Emily Dallocort to head a project under the Arek’Jaalan initiative. We are spearheading a research effort known as Project Blueprint. The main goal of Blueprint, as detailed in the official abstract submitted as of yesterday and shown below, is such:

The purpose behind gathering this information is manifold:
1. To investigate if Sleeper constructs hold any sort of cultural significance to the Sleepers themselves;
2. To investigate if Sleepers build their constructs to establish permanent homes or temporary sites
3: To assist in determining the relationship behind Sleepers and the Talocan

Ultimately, information gathered from Project Blueprint could be used to assist other Project teams (idealy, those under the Sleeper History division), and to help further the efforts of those in the Arek’Jaalan initiative.

Currently, Emily and I are in the midst of Phase 1 – collection of comparable samples of New Eden architecture – and as Phase 2 – the collection of Sleeper samples – draws near, we will be immediately stretched thin to survey all the variations of Sleeper architecture in wormhole space (though we will be conducting our own firsthand examinations). Given these circumstances, I am going to put forward an offer for any assistance received from my fellow capsuleers.

Firstly, any capsuleer may submit their own photos of Sleeper architecture at a rate of 2,500,000 ISK per photo, up to 25,000,000 ISK. They will need to follow a photo guideline, which will be shared within the coming days. Doing so will also give you an honorary position as a contributor to Project Blueprint (although a listing on the abstract is not guaranteed as those cannot be edited after a certain date, which Hilen Tukoss has not yet released).

In the meantime, capsuleers are welcome to submit any and all photos of peculiar, important, or otherwise notable structures within Minmatar space, as this is the first known area settled by the Sleepers before their migration to Anoikis (colloquially know as ‘w-space’ or, in layman’s terms, wormholes). Photos from Minmatar space will go at a lower rate of 1,000,000 ISK per photo up to a maximum of 10,000,000 ISK.

Batches of photos may be submitted at a rate of 10 photos every 12 hours. This is to help keep capsuleers from taking advantage of the system, and for me to have time to update my database. Photos are subject to acceptance and payment based on quality, usefulness and whether or not a sample of the structure has already been submitted.

A photo form will be posted soon with instructions on how photos should be taken and what relevant information should be recorded.

Disclaimer: Full credit for photos will be given to each contributor. Project Blueprint takes partial ownership of any photos received and reserves the right to use them in any way it sees fit. This operation is currently under my supervision. Any attempts to willfully gain payment from Emily Dallocort or any other member of Arek’Jaalan will result in payments not being issued, photos being kept, the sender being denied contributor status and being barred from contributing to Project Blueprint in the future.
